Syndrome d’alcoolisation foetale et ensemble des troubles connexes (ETCAF)
Le syndrome d'alcoolisme foetal (SAF) se réfère à toute la gamme de handicaps causés par l'exposition du fœtus à l'alcool (ex : quand la mère boit de l'alcool durant la grossesse). Le syndrome d'alcoolisme fœtal fait référence à un groupe spécifique de déficits résultant de l'exposition à l'alcool. On peut aussi utiliser des termes comme : les effets de l'alcoolisme fœtal; malformations congénitales reliées à l'alcoolisme fœtal et troublesneurologiques reliés à l'alcoolisme fœtal.
Si vous pensez que quelqu'un parmi vos proches est affecté par le syndrome d'alcoolisme fœtal, il faudrait en parler avec votre médecin de famille ou votre pédiatre.
