Quality of Screen Time in Youth International

What is the study about?

We want to learn about how youth feel while they use screens such as when they play video games, use computers, smartphones, tablets, and watch Television. This will help us understand how we can increase good feelings while youth use screens and decrease bad feelings while youth use screens.

Who can participate?

Youth 12-18 years old, who can read and understand English.

What is involved in the participating?

If you take part in the study, we will ask you to answer questions to an online survey. You can answer the questions whenever you want. About six months later, we will ask you to answer the questions again. The survey will take about 15-30 minutes. It will ask you about your screen use, physical activity, sleep, and quality of life. You have a chance to win 1 of 5 gift cards. The gift cards are worth $50.00 Canadian and subject to availability in the country you live. If you win, you can choose a gift card from: iTunes, amazon.ca, amazon.com, Visa international gift card, or Steam. Please note that if we cannot purchase a gift card for the country you live in, we will send a Visa International Gift card valued at $50.00 Canadian.

Where will the study take place?

The study will take place online at a location that you choose (e.g., at home).
